Hometown: Woodburn, Medical student at UCLA

In his own words: When I started medical school in Los Angeles (UCLA), I experienced culture shock. I come from the smallest city in Indiana (Woodburn), and was raised in your stereotypically midwestern way, so the change was overwhelming. Nonetheless, I have learned to retain those values I was taught (compassion, work ethic, and respect for everyone). Being America's Gay Bachelor would be an incredible honor because it would celebrate those personal traits of mine and let everyone know that there isn't one particular "mold" to being a successful, gay bachelor. My life has gone smoothly so far with respect to getting the foundation to my prospective career as a surgeon, but I'm missing that last "piece." I was raised in farm territory and I'll always be a little "country" on the inside, but that's me and I'm so proud of my roots as an Indiana boy. Most importantly, I want to be America's Gay Bachelor because I want LGBT youth to see me as an inspiration for their future.

Family guy: Absolutely! I have always envisioned myself experiencing the beautiful nature of fatherhood.
His perfect partner: Aggressive, loving, and secure. He would understand that we are both busy, but would still make the effort to spend quality time together. A good "cuddler" is always a plus! :-)

Smooch scoop: When I received my acceptance letter into med school, my ex (who never cooks!) made dinner for me :)
Sexiest man getups: Confidence and a great smile. A guy that has a certain mystery to him always intrigues me.
Dating pet peeve: Guys who request an open-relationship. Not my thing - I prefer monogamy.
Listen up, men: To me, the "three strikes, you're out!" rule doesn't apply to cheating. One time will suffice!
Future goal: Get through yet another year of med school and eventually become an orthopedic surgeon.
