Looking For Love In All The Right Places |
| 2008-05-26 |
San Francisco, Calif. – May 24, 2008 – On May 31st, when this year’s AIDS/Lifecycle riders check in for orientation at the Cow Palace, they’ll be greeted by volunteers who are there to make a difference, and also there to meet Mr. Right.
myPartner.com, a relationship-oriented matchmaking service created for gay men by gay men, is organizing volunteers to assist with participant check-in, bike parking, and other tasks during AIDS/Lifecycle rider orientation. “When you’re giving back, you’re at your best,” says Patrick Perrine, M.A., CEO and founder of myPartner.com. “What better time to meet the right person?”
Three thousand people from around the world and nearly every US state, ranging in age from 18 to 81, will participate in this year's AIDS/LifeCycle. Since its inception, AIDS/LifeCycle has raised nearly $40 million for HIV/AIDS services and prevention programs.
“We’re thrilled to be able to facilitate this kind of experience, where our members are able to meet great new guys and give back to the community at the same time,” says Perrine.
