san francisco, ca , june 4, 2008: Former Columbus, OH resident and Kenyon College graduate, Densil Porteous, was selected the 2008 Gay Bachelor representing the state of Ohio in the first American Gay Bachelor contest. Online users can vote for one America's Most Eligible Gay Bachelor of the Year out of the 51 winners on either of myPartner's websites starting 12:01am, EST, on June 5th, 2008 and ending at 11:59pm, PST, on July 1st, 2008. From the top 51 contestants, one from each state and one from the nation's capital, five will be selected and flown to San Diego for final judging. A panel of experts will decide who is America 's Gay Bachelor during a star-studded event on July 17th during San Diego's Gay Pride celebration.
Porteous, 27, currently resides in San Francisco , CA where he works in the education sector while completing his MBA.
