The Second Annual America’s Gay Bachelor Contest has its Top 5 Finalists

2009-06-01
Five Finalists Compete to be named the 2009 Most Eligible Bachelor of the Year

The five bachelors that will compete for this year’s America’s Gay Bachelor 2009 title were publicly announced today by the gay matchmaking site myPartner.com, the contest’s sponsor.

The Top 5 Finalists were chosen from a pool of contestants representing each state and the nation‘s capital by more than 400,000 votes cast online at myPartner.com, up from just 35,000 last year. Each finalist is an eligible, single gay man that either originally hails from, or is currently living in the state he’ll be representing at the finale event. The five finalists in alphabetical order are Mr. Arizona, Mr. California, Mr. Indiana, Mr. Massachusetts, and Mr. Rhode Island and can be seen by at www.AmericasGayBachelor.com.

The finalists will appear in San Diego for the final competition for this year’s title of America’s Gay Bachelor 2009 during a star-studded event held at W San Diego on June 20th. Celebrity judges will include Ari Gold, openly gay recording artist and human rights activist, Jesse Brune from the Bravo show “Work Out”, and Abel Lima, Jr. who was the inaugural winner of America’s Gay Bachelor in 2008. The finalists will be joined by eligible bachelors from all over the country at W San Diego’s famed rooftop bar Beach to meet, mingle, and – just maybe – find the man of their dreams.

The sunset soirée will have guests grooving to house music, sipping signature myPartner hosted cocktails and mingling with the most desirable gay men in America. Rufskin Denim will style the bachelors for their runway debut and San Diego favorite Jason Wimberly will serve as Master of Ceremonies for the event.

“More and more gay men are looking for someone who’s marriage material,” says Perrine, “We’re here to debunk the myth that gay men aren’t interested in finding lasting relationships, especially as states across the country begin to move towards legalizing gay marriage,” says Perrine.

This year’s AGB (America’s Gay Bachelor) ticket sales are benefiting Marriage Equality USA so join us on June 20th to celebrate the best of our nation’s eligible bachelors while supporting marriage equality for all!

Tickets for this year’s star-studded event are available now at www.myPartner.com/Pride.html.

The five finalists are showcased on the myPartner.com website at www.AmericasGayBachelor.com. The America's Gay Bachelor 2009 contest winner will receive a romantic get-a-way trip for two at the W San Diego, a $30,000 Private Matchmaking Package from myPartner.com, and a chance to be featured in a national publication.
