In My Own Words
My Partner would be:
A sense of humor is a must. Maturity is a plus, but that doesn't mean "uptight." I want to be treated well and I want to treat a guy just as good, if not better. He should be able to laugh at himself and at my quirks. Other good attributes: a good head on his shoulders, a life that is in order and knows how to communicate.
I think good looks are really great, but when a guy is respectful, honest, reliable and has realistic ambition, it makes him even more attractive. I like a guy who can talk about absurd topics and then flip it around and have a mature conversation.
More about me:
I find humor in the most random things, I appreciate good taste and I know a lot of useless pop culture facts that provide a constant source of conversation.
I like high- and low-brow culture. I'm currently trying to learn to play the guitar and training to run a marathon (not at the same time). I'm a workaholic but can relax if needed. I recently converted to the MacBook religion. I work out, but I am terrible at sports. I'll obsess about using the perfect words to describe something. I'll spend hours in a store and not buy anything. I think self-deprecation is the best kind of humor. I know when to be mature and at the same time, I can act a fool. Most of all, I like making random lists of things.
For fun:
I'm a hybrid of a curious explorer and a homebody. I enjoy stress-induced work-outs, writing my yet-to-be published novel, incessantly blogging, obnoxious humor, too much TV (The Office, Lost, Bored to Death, Mad Men, Glee, True Blood - and others) and good food. Lots of it.
