In My Own Words
My Partner would be:
A sense of humor is a must. At the same time, he has to be mature, but not uptight. He should be able to laugh at himself and at me (without being condescending). Basically, he has to have a good head on his shoulders, is charming in social situations and is an adult (i.e. knows how to communicate and doesn't play games)...
I think good looks are really great, but when a guy is respectful, honest, reliable and has realistic ambition, it makes him even more attractive. A nice smile, honest eyes and a European accent doesn't hurt either - haha. If you are a guy that can talk about absurd reality TV shows and then flip it around and have a mature conversation, then perhaps we should talk.
More about me:
While waiting for my Pulitzer Prize winning novel and Academy Award winning screenplay to come out, I freelance for various Bay Area publications and teach journalism at an art university. I enjoy what I do, but change stimulates my mind and satisfies my creative appetite.
I've moved around a handful of times until I finally settled in Texas but then came to the wonderful world of the SF Bay Area - which is a great place for me as of now...
I'd like to say I still have the charm of a Southern gentleman and ppl like to make fun of me when I use the word "y'all." I find humor in the most random things, I appreciate good style and I know a lot of useless pop culture facts that provide a constant source of conversation.
I am a dedicated film goer, restaurant adventurer, expert people watcher, gym rat, random movie quoter, former Texan (when I say "y'all," I apparently sound odd to a lot of Bay Area folks), pop culture enthusiast, Southern gentleman - among other things. I think it's safe to say that I am more of a dinner-and-conversation guy than a rampant club goer.
For fun:
Running on a nice day, movies, reading, long phone conversations, indecisive shopping, socially conscious hip hop, obnoxious humor, too much TV (HIMYM, Lost, Gossip Girl, The Office, 30 Rock), obscure music, Tex Mex food (the only thing I miss from Texas besides my family)
